~We had a busy weekend at SteynOnline, starting with the latest edition of Mark's Mailbox, in which Steyn answered (occasionally in Greek) a host of questions on Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's delayed trial, the state of stand-up comedy, and a famous supernumerary papilla. On Saturday we marked the death of a monster, and our regular movie date considered a cinematic paean to another. Mark's Sunday song selection explored the now obsolete world of the "answering service" and its musical legacy. Throughout the weekend our audio adaptation of Climate Change: The Facts continued with important insights from Rupert Darwall, Ross McKitrick and Donna Laframboise. And our marquee presentation was the latest in our series of video poetry: with President Trump mulling purchase of a certain slab of Danish territory, Mark read and discussed Greenland by James Montgomery.
As Karyn, a new Mark Steyn Club member from Down Under, put it, explaining her reasons for signing up on Sunday: "It was the poetry! :)" Whether it's the poetry or the climate science, the obituaries or the songs, the Q&As or the movies, we hope you'll want to check out one or three of the foregoing as a new week begins.
If you left it too late for this week's voyage, do give a thought to our Third Annual Steyn Cruise sailing the Med next year and with Conrad Black, Douglas Murray and John O'Sullivan among our shipmates.
