Today, Wednesday, we'll be attempting another Clubland Q&A session, live around the world at 4pm Eastern in North America - that's 8pm Greenwich Mean Time. We'll try to pin down the rest of the time zones below, but do, as they say, check local listings.
As Monday's readers will have deduced, I was actually a little taken aback by the industrial-strength dissembling of the media about the Easter bloodbath in Colombo. Unless you consciously sought out, say, the Indian papers, you would have no idea this was anything to do with the jihad crowd. So we'll pursue the question of whether the so-called mainstream media have advanced from fainthearted euphemists to gung-ho propagandists, and what that says about where we're headed. And, in this political season, we'll also look at the strengths and weaknesses of the Democrat field in the US, Nigel Farage's new Brexit Party in the UK, Jason Kenney's victory in Alberta, the upcoming election Down Under, the anti-immigrationist Finns Party's showing in the Finnish vote, whatever's happening in your neck of the woods.
All that should keep us going for an hour or so, but, if you do have any questions on our classic fiction serializations or music specials, maybe we'll address a few artier topics in the final fifteen minutes or so. We have a new audio adventure starting this Friday, and it's a corker. But if you have any suggestions for future tales do let me know.
