On Monday night Tucker and I touched on the contrast between the late George H W Bush's post-political life and Bill and Hillary's empty stadium tour:
Mark Steyn reacted to news that ticket prices for an evening with Bill and Hillary Clinton last week in Toronto plummeted to about $10 a piece, a far cry from donations that flowed into their foundation over the years...
'And that's ten dollars Canadian,' Steyn riffed. 'Thanks to Justin Trudeau, that's like $1.79 American right now.'

A few years back I was having lunch in Quebec with some old friends from Montreal, Toronto and London. Among them was a CIBC vice-president who mentioned that the bank had booked Bill Clinton for its annual gala dinner. "What's dinner with Bill Clinton cost?" asked the fellow from London.
"A hundred bucks."
"That's cheap," said the other chap. "In London for a hundred bucks you can't get dinner without Bill Clinton."
At current Bill & Hill ticket prices, you couldn't get a stadium hot dog.
~If you like awkward chemistry-free double-acts, don't wait for Bill & Hill to come to your town when there's the first ever Dennis Miller/Mark Steyn tour heading to a theatre near-ish you. Dennis is the Bill of the act - slick, charming, predatory - and I'm the Hillary - stiff, shrill, unlikeable with a hacking cough and prone to fall over at random moments. But we're thinking of alternating roles at intermission. So don't leave off booking until the last minute and take the risk of tickets falling to sub-Clinton prices. More details here.
I'll be back later this evening with a brand new video edition of Mark's Mailbox, answering questions from Mark Steyn Club members around the planet, and tomorrow morning (Wednesday) on "Fox & Friends". For more on the Steyn Club, see here - and don't forget our Christmas Gift Membership, which this festive season includes a personalized Christmas card from yours truly and a special gift presentation of our most popular Tales for Our Time.
