In case you missed it, here's how the last seven days looked to Mark:
~The week began with Steyn celebrating Aretha Franklin, songwriter.
~Mark's Monday Notebook looked at western leaders' growing contempt for their citizens, and the rise of the phallocentric woman.
Later that day Steyn joined Tucker Carlson to talk over two topics - the media sympathy for an accused murderer who happens to be an illegal immigrant - and the presidential plans of Chelsea Clinton. Click below to watch:
~On Tuesday Mark brought together a deported Nazi, a slain coed, and a flipped and unflipped minion to consider the bizarre priorities of US justice. It was our most-read piece of the week.
~Wednesday, aside from being the day of Steyn's exclusive interview with Monica Lewinsky's dress, also saw his return to "The John Oakley Show" in Toronto. He and guest-host Peter Shurman pondered illegal immigration north and south of the border, leaders who rebuke the citizenry, and the Bollywood bridesmaid's invitation to the Nafta signing ceremony. ~On Thursday's edition of "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Mark noted the Trumproaches running around inside the left's heads every morning.
~On Friday Malcolm Turnbull, the Australian prime minister who knifed Tony Abbott and seized the crown, was himself stabbed and left for the vultures. Steyn marked the occasion in his weekend column, "The Spiller Spilled".
~For our Saturday movie date, Mark recalled James Coburn's last great film role in Affliction.
Much of our content at SteynOnline this last year has been funded by members of The Mark Steyn Club. Don't worry, none of our regular features are being paywalled or anything like that, but we are providing Club members with a few extras, such as our Sunday Poem, Tales for Our Time, participation in our Clubland Q&As (the latest of which airs live around the planet this Tuesday), and the opportunity to sail with Mark on the inaugural Mark Steyn Club Cruise from Montreal to Boston next month at the height of foliage season. Join Steyn and his doughty crew Michele Bachmann, John O'Sullivan, Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, along with special musical guest Tal Bachman. We'll be doing all our regular SteynOnline features - The Mark Steyn Show, Song of the Week, Tales for Our Time - but live and on water. You can find more details on the Cruise here. (If you're thinking of coming, don't leave it too late, as the price is more favorable the earlier you book.)
You can find more details about The Mark Steyn Club here. And don't forget our Steyn Club Gift Membership (not to be confused with our SteynOnline gift certificates).
In legal news, CRTV continue to deny that they've lost their suit against Steyn and to refuse to pay up and move on. For those interested, we've provided a handy guide to CRTV deadbeat Cary Katz's multiple lawsuits against Mark. We will update this page as the sleazy Katz adds to his swelling number of cases against Steyn.
A new week at SteynOnline begins tonight with our Song of the Week - and don't forget our Clubland Q&A live around the planet at 4pm North American Eastern Time on Tuesday.
