On Wednesday Tucker Carlson reported on South Africa's plans for what's euphemistically called "land reform". Which prompted President Trump to issue a Tweet on the subject. Which in turn drove the left to paroxysms of outrage at the unbearable whiteness of his Tweeting.

In other news from around the Commonwealth, Sir Peter Cosgrove has sworn in yet another prime minister of Australia: Malcolm Turnbull, the man who toppled Tony Abbott, has in turn been toppled by Scott Morrison. The bigger and more stunning news is that, unlike the last gazillion party leaders, Mr Morrison will not have Julie Bishop as his deputy. We'll have more to say about this in the days ahead.
