On Monday I joined Tucker Carlson to discuss the latest poster child for the Undocumented-American community - Joel Arrona-Lara, an illegal alien arrested by ICE while taking his wife to hospital for a caesarean delivery. The media immediately went into full this-is-not-who-we-are mode - even though ICE detained him because they'd received an Interpol notice that he was wanted for murder in Mexico. So, if I understand the "mainstream"media correctly, it's totally insensitive to arrest a murder suspect if his missus is in the third trimester (what their position is if the murder suspect is driving her to the Planned Parenthood clinic is not known). Tucker Carlson's best friend Mark Steyn turned the racial fear-mongering up to 11 on Monday night when he went on a rant about illegal immigration, and women who use anchor babies to suck America dry (I guess) until the day comes where there's nothing left but a withered, barren husk.
Apparently it's only elderly cable-news viewers who are worried about finding themselves next to murder suspects in the maternity-ward waiting room. The cool kids at Mediaite are entirely relaxed about it.
