This week I made a rare Tuesday appearance with the great John Oakley at Toronto's Global News Radio 640. We discussed Doug Ford's victory in the Ontario Tory leadership race, and whether it's part of the same phenomenon as Trump, Brexit and last week's Italian election. We also addressed Hillary's remarks to high-caste Indians about the Deplorables, which she seems to regard as the lowest caste on the planet (see P Gao's comment here). Click below to listen:
If you're one of the small but brave band who prefer me in vision, I'll be back later with a brand new edition of The Mark Steyn Show.
If you disagree with any of the above and you're a member of The Mark Steyn Club, feel free to have at it in the comments. But please don't simply post links. A link is not a comment: we're interested in your views of the passing scene, not some other fellow's. We try to police comments with a light touch here, but we're strict about links for a multiplicity of reasons: For example, some links are simply copyright theft - as when someone sticks an entire Rush Limbaugh show on YouTube (which has parlayed industrial-scale copyright theft into a planet-wide kleptocracy). Or, to take another example, an unaware member may innocently link to a website that sued me for an eight-figure sum, lost the case, and is refusing to pay the damages ordered by the judge. There's no reason at all for me to promote scofflaws and deadbeats. I appreciate that members are not always aware of such complicating factors, or of my intense dislike of copyright theft, but that's why I regard links as the host's prerogative. We're proud of the high standard of our comments section, and don't want it to descend into the depths that many others do. And what keeps it at that high standard is your opinions, your insights and your arguments, not URLs.
