Meanwhile, in case you missed it, here's how the last seven days looked to Steyn:
~The week began with an election in Germany, and NFL players in London declining to stand for their own national anthem. Mark reflected on an unprecedented post-war Bundestag in "Alternative Reality", and on the controversies roiling American football in "Man Un-Makyth Manners": the latter was our most-read piece of the week.
~We always like to greet Monday morning with a song. This week, it was a medley, as Steyn celebrated two classic ballads.
~On Tuesday Roy Moore beat Luther Strange in the Alabama primary. Mark regarded it as an election between full-strength Trump and house-trained Trump.
~On Wednesday Steyn returned to the subject of NFL anthem abuse for his midweek appearance with Tucker Carlson on Fox News. Click below to watch:
~Thursday was a big radio day for Mark: He started the day with Justice & Drew on 1130 Twin Cities News Talk and later checked in with John Oakley on Toronto's AM640, where he remembered the late Hugh Hefner. Click below to listen:
~The left's cultural ambitions gallop ahead ever faster. By Friday Dr Seuss was racist. Click below to watch:
~For our Saturday movie date, Steyn marked the 90th anniversary of talking pictures. Warning: This might trigger Massachusetts librarians more than Dr Seuss.
In November Mark will be honored with Kellyanne Conway and Diane Hendricks at the Independent Women's Forum annual awards gala in Washington. If you're in the vicinity of the DC Swamp and would like to attend, please click here and enjoy a special discount on the ticket price by entering the promo code STEYN at the bottom of the ticket information box.
