For years, viewers and listeners of Mark's guest-hosting stints on TV and radio have emailed to say, "When are you going to get your own show?" This week, Steyn finally bit the bullet, and announced the launch of a new nightly extravaganza, The Mark Steyn Show. Read more about it below.

~The week began with the sad news of the death of Sixties teen idol Bobby Vee. Steyn paid tribute and recalled his own recent encounter with an unlikely Bobby Vee co-writer.
~At this year's Munk Debate Mark observed that in Europe "migrant rights trump children's rights". A recent Austrian court decision provided a particularly stark example and prompted Steyn's most-read column this week: "Descent into Evil."
~On Wednesday Mark returned to the North American airwaves with a visit to The John Oakley Show in Toronto. They discussed free speech, gender identity and the state of the US election. Click below to listen:
~On Thursday Steyn looked at some of the background to this strange US election season - FBI corruption, media manipulation, ballot irregularities, and a Republican Party that's funding ad campaigns against its own presidential candidate.
~On Friday, in the weirdest development yet, Hillary's emails somehow got mixed up with Anthony Weiner's selfies to 15-year-old girls. Mark considered that and the latest Wikileaks revelation - that at least some campaign officials agreed with Steyn's comparison of Bill Clinton with Bill Cosby.
~Our weekend movie feature had Halloween in mind, with a whiskery Jack Nicholson in Wolf.
As mentioned above, Mark is launching a brand new nightly one-hour TV extravaganza to be called (after much strategizing and brainstorming) The Mark Steyn Show. You can watch it from almost anywhere in the planet - well, anywhere with electricity - at whatever hour of the day suits you best on whatever delivery system you so desire: TV or tablet, iPhone or incendiary Samsung - and entirely commercial-free, every night. Mark and his guests will be addressing all the big-picture stuff he deals with at SteynOnline: free speech, Islam, demography, debt and decline. But we'll also be translating some of his most popular website features into television format, including Mark at the Movies, Steyn's Song of the Week, Ave atque vale and Mark's Mailbox. It will be the only show on the air to feature both civilizational collapse and live music.
