This morning I started the day with Maria Bartiromo et al on Fox Business. America's alleged "embarrassment" at the impending President Trump was the issue. You can see the segment in full here.
~In my interview last night with Ted Cruz, the surging presidential candidate, now a clear runner-up to Trump and leaving Rubio and Carson in the rear-view mirror, had some unexpected praise for front-runner-turned-asterisk Jeb Bush. The Washington Examiner reports:
"I'll commend Jeb Bush, I think Jeb Bush has been very honest, he's been very candid about his support for amnesty... Marco on the other hand is trying to run away from his long support of amnesty," said Cruz, ranked first in the Washington Examiner's presidential power rankings, to fill-in host Mark Steyn.
Cruz added that despite Rubio and Bush having the "same record on immigration," Rubio's team has become increasingly nervous about it... "When it comes to amnesty and illegal immigration and immigration generally, we are on opposite sides of the fence. He stands with Chuck Schumer and Barack Obama. I stand with Jeff Sessions and Steve King and the American people," boasted Cruz.

~Stuart Williamson writes from Seattle:
Great job on Hannity, particularly with Cruz - who impresses.
I cannot understand the wild-eyed GOP frenzy over Trump's ascendancy. They attribute it to the stupidity of the masses, totally ignoring his long record of delivering on his promises - coming in under budget and on time for his projects, and his uncanny ability to assess people accurately. "You're lacking energy. You're fired!"

Indeed. There are critiques to be made of Trump, but the condescending view of the GOP business-as-usual crowd - that he's a celebrity buffoon who hasn't a clue - really ought to be dead by now: He's taken out Jeb!, Perry, Walker, Jindal, Graham... And the confident assertion by emasculation fantasist Rich Lowry that Carly Fiorina "cut his balls off with the precision of a surgeon" doesn't seem to have worked out for Carly (currently averaging 2.4 per cent). Trump and Cruz between them now have over 50 per cent of the GOP primary vote, and the total "mainstream" vote (Rubio, Bush, Christie, Kasich, Pataki) is a little over 20 percent. The Republican base loathes the party.
~Iowa viewer Marc Berkowitz also enjoyed yesterday's show:
After tonight I'm less sure you wear a toupee.
Looking good my friend.

I'll put that down as a vote for Trump.
~As for Feline Groovy, don't be put off by that temporarily out of stock sign at Amazon. The new shipment of CDs arrived this morning (Tuesday), so you can order and they'll be stuffing it into an envelope today or tomorrow. But they are flying off the shelves there and elsewhere. There are still CDs available via CD Baby or direct from the Steyn store. And, of course, for instant gratification, it can be yours in seconds via digital download from Amazon or iTunes. As for critical opinion, here's another five-star review:
Technical analysis aside, i.e., delightful blending of vocal & instrumental, nuanced lyrically & musically, this CD is pure fun..! There is a tip of the hat to Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra & even Fred Flintstone among others.
An energizing & mood-lifting treat at the end of the day.
~Later today I'll be checking in with Alan Colmes on the radio just after 6pm Eastern/3pm Pacific, and then guest-hosting Hannity coast to coast at 10pm Eastern. And tomorrow, Wednesday, I'll be returning to the Golden EIB Microphone to guest-host for Rush on America's Number One radio show.
