Lindsey Graham abandoned his presidential ambitions on Monday, having fought a sincere and honorable campaign. If Graham's 0.2 per cent goes to Jeb!, that could send Jeb! rocketing up to, oh, 3.4 per cent.
Back in the real world, Ted Cruz has held his narrow lead in Iowa and moved into second place in New Hampshire. It is the fashion to say that it's now a four-man race - Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Carson - but even that may be overstating things: Carson is in steep decline, and Rubio appears to have plateaued. So we may be down to Trump, Cruz and whichever "establishment" candidate survives New Hampshire (Rubio or Christie).
At any rate, Ted Cruz joined me to chew over the state of play on "Hannity" last night. Click below to watch:
I had a fun time guest-hosting for Sean Hannity on Monday night. Away from the GOP race, Doug Schoen and Monica Crowley were in studio to mull the Democrats' debate and the strange faintheartedness of Bernie Sanders. Also discussed on the show: Obama and Isis, and Hillary's curious line of attack against Trump. We'll post the video as it becomes available.
~Feline Groovy keeps flying off the shelves. The CD is currently out of stock at Amazon, but I'm told a big new delivery arrives there Tuesday morning, so you should still be able to get it in time for Christmas. There are still CDs available via CD Baby or direct from the Steyn store. And, of course, for instant gratification, it can be yours in seconds via digital download from Amazon or iTunes. I liked this review from Michael Porter:
This is an incredibly well produced album and most of all, it's fun to listen to. The instrumentation is smooth and slick and Mark's vocals are almost as silky. One curiosity though. A lot of vocalists from, say Great Britain, have no accent when the sing. Yet Mark's accent, I swear, is even thicker when he sings! Oh well. He calls his album, "Songs for swingin' cats," but not only do my wife and I enjoy it, my two dogs enjoy it too. This proves Steyn's appeal transcends politics, sex, and even species.
I'm not sure I'd go that far, but we're doing nicely on both the pop and jazz charts.
~On Tuesday I'll be starting the day with Maria Bartiromo over on Fox Business at 8am Eastern/5am Pacific, and later joining Alan Colmes on the radio after 6pm Eastern and guest-hosting for Sean on Fox News coast to coast at 10pm Eastern.
