Today, Wednesday, I started the day with Toronto's Number One morning man John Oakley. Just ahead of my appearance, John was talking about an OPP officer who ran over a coyote with his cruiser three times and then got out and put a bullet in the poor creature. Hence my opening allusion. In the wake of Tuesday's sweep, we also discussed various parallels between Trudeau/Harper and Obama/Bush, and the consequences for the Paris climate beano and Obama's "60-nation coalition" against ISIS. Click below to listen:
One other way in which Bush and Harper were similar: George W Bush thought his actions would speak louder than words, and so the "compassionate conservative" never bothered to counteract the continuous media-left drumbeat that he was a lying fascist warmonger. Likewise, Stephen Harper, the cautious incrementalist, never bothered to counteract the continuous media-left drumbeat that he was a totalitarian right-wing control-freak. In the absence of any alternative narrative, the caricature prevailed.
~As for that book of mine John was kind enough to mention, it's my very latest - "A Disgrace to the Profession", the new must-read on the most egregious exemplar of phony cartoon climatology: Michael E Mann, his hockey stick, and their perversion and corruption of science. It's even timelier now that the last major western leader to hold out against Big Climate alarmism has been conveniently evicted just in time for the Paris summit. I like this review over at Amazon Canada:
A stunning eye opener into the closed club of climate science.
Extraordinarily well researched. A look at the dark side of politicized science. It should be required reading for anyone who thinks they know the current state of climate research and the so-called "settled science."
Aside from the print edition, we're also available in Kindle and Nook.
PS Don't forget my contribution to the new Magna Carta book. Buy a copy for Justin: Like too many Canadians, he thinks the "Great Charter" is something his dad cooked up in the early Eighties.
~Tomorrow I'll be back south of the border with Hugh Hewitt, live coast to coast at 6pm Eastern/3pm Pacific. Hope you'll dial us up.
