This coming weekend Mark will be speaking in the Danish Parliament on the tenth anniversary of the Mohammed cartoons. Judging from the scenes on the TV news, so many excited young men in Europe are looking forward to catching up with Steyn that the line begins on the Hungarian border. If you're in the general vicinity, we hope to see you there. Tickets available here.
Meanwhile, in case you missed it, here's how the last seven days looked to Mark:
The week began with political shake-ups around the world, from a Trotskyite takeover of the British Labour Party to the latest constitutional coup in Canberra. Steyn surveyed the scene across the Anglosphere in "Following the Leaders".
~On Monday Mark kicked off another week of book promotion for "A Disgrace to the Profession" with Ben Mathis in Hollywood. The following day he appeared with Alan Colmes, who's a personal friend of the aforementioned disgrace. We think you'll enjoy both interviews.
~On Tuesday The Toronto Star unveiled Naomi Klein's Great LEAP Backwards - the latest attempt to use "saving the planet" as a pretext for transnational socialism. Mark discussed Big Climate's desperate move with Toronto's Number One morning man John Oakley.
~Wednesday was the night of the big Republican debate. Mark was much in demand from TV and radio for pre-debate analysis, post-debate analysis, and even a bit of you're-kidding-another-hour-of-this-to-go? analysis.
~Thursday was a super-busy media day for Mark, with appearances with Brian Kilmeade, Stuart Varney, Neil Cavuto, Dana Loesch, and Hugh Hewitt. The GOP debate dominated, but he also touched on the European migrant crisis, the Fed rate non-hike, and his new book. Click below for Mark and Dana:
~On Friday twenty supposed "scientists" called for America's RICO anti-racketeering crime laws to be used to jail those who disagree with them. If you noticed that Mark's book is called "A Disgrace to the Profession" Volume One, and you wondered how seriously he meant that last bit, well, he now has another 20 disgraces to the profession to work with.
~Steyn's weekend column addressed the latest outburst of fake outrage: the media taking umbrage on behalf of Obama's amour propre re a questioner at a Donald Trump event. Mark offered Trump and other candidates some possible responses.
This week our Sinatra Centenary songs reached for the stars and the barnyard shovel: We went to see what Spring is like on Jupiter and Mars - and what it's like in a cow barn awash in manure. Another 20th century musical phenomenon figured in our Saturday movie date: the Beatles - back when the Fab Four was a not-so-fab five.
Thank you so much to our readers around the world for another great week for "A Disgrace to the Profession": The World's Scientists - in their Own Words - on Michael E Mann, his Hockey Stick, and their Damage to Science - Volume One. Don't miss Richard Kirk's rave review at The American Thinker, which compares Mark's book to the final episode of "Seinfeld"!
"A Disgrace to the Profession" is doing boffo biz on the Climatology Hit Parade, and is generously discounted at Amazon. And, if you need it in the next 90 seconds, it can be yours anywhere on the planet via Kindle or Nook.
A new week at SteynOnline begins tonight with our Song of the Week and ends with Mark's appearance in Copenhagen this coming weekend.
~There are other ways to support Mark's side in the upcoming Mann vs Steyn trial of the century, if you're so inclined:
1) STEYNONLINE GIFT CERTIFICATES
You can buy a gift certificate starting at $25 (and soaring way up from there), for yourself or your friends and family. The gift certificates have no expiration date, so if, in ten years' time, your favorite nephew has a sudden burning desire for $100 worth of Mark's disco CD, it'll still be valid. On the other hand, if you want to buy a certificate and sit on it until Mark wins the case, that works, too.
The gift certificates are available online here. Alternatively, US and Canadian customers can make a telephone purchase by calling (866) 799-4500 toll free from 8am to 3pm Eastern time on weekdays.
Aside from "A Disgrace To The Profession", he's written lots of other books, on free speech and much more. They're available individually or as part of various special offers.
3) EXCLUSIVE STEYN vs THE STICK TRIAL MERCHANDISE
Our "Steyn vs the Stick" and "Clash of Sticks" designs are available both on mousepads and coffee mugs and as T-shirts and sweat shirts.
