I always enjoy my Wednesday morning conversations with Toronto's Number One morning man John Oakley. This week we began with the court ruling permitting new Canadian citizens to take their oath of allegiance wearing full niqabs and burqas. You won't be surprised to hear that I disagreed with it. Showing your face is an indispensable part of what it means to live in a western society - if only so Donald Trump can go, "Look at that face!"
Laura Rosen Cohen adds:
I also feel that this is a case where we are being totally played by the totalitarians. They want it both ways-they say it's a religious obligation, and on the other hand, say that it's totally voluntary and no woman is under duress to cover their face. So which is it, dammit? They think we are total dhimmi idiots, and this ruling proves that we are indeed.
We also talked about Trump and the Republican debate, and about the new "LEAP manifesto", under which celebrities with four multi-million-dollar homes (like climate know-nothing David Suzuki) want the rest of you suckers to live in poky one-room apartments and beat your clothes dry on the rocks down by the river.

~As for that book of mine that John was kind enough to mention, i's my very latest - "A Disgrace to the Profession". It's in the Top 250 in Canada, and we're currently the Number One environmental bestseller in the US. Aside from the print edition, we're also available in Kindle and Nook.
~Later today I'll be doing post-debate talk on TV with Hannity, live coast to coast at Fox News, first at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific and then again, still live, at 1am Eastern/10pm Pacific. Tomorrow morning I'll be back on the air with Brian Kilmeade and Stuart Varney, and then later with Neil Cavuto. Full details in our On the Air box at top right.
