Today I started the day with Jay Weber on News/Talk 1130 WISN in Milwaukee, where I can occasionally be heard guest-hosting for Rush. Jay and I talked about my new book "A Disgrace To The Profession" - and I was heartened to hear that Michael E Mann's hockey-stick shenanigans are well known to his listeners in Wisconsin.
We also found time to discuss Hillary Clinton's appallingly irresponsible stewardship of America's most confidential foreign-policy material, the significance of the Iran deal, and the do-nothing Republican establishment. Click below to listen:
On the Hillary front, Bryan Pagliano, who set up the server for Hillary at her home in Chappaqua, has informed Congress that he will plead the Fifth Amendment if compelled to testify. And so it goes. The scandal has swallowed the campaign. There is nothing else. There is no great issue with which to distract the media - she's not making the running on immigration or health care or any other topic. There are no campaign events with enthusiastic crowds - because an already isolated, citizen-averse candidate has retreated even further into her bubble of pre-approved hand-picked background-checked groupies. There is no campaign, only the drip-drip-drip of revelations and developments.
~Noting the climatological bestsellers, Scaramouche comments:
This Changes Everything (Fingers Crossed, Anyway)
We certainly hope so. By the way, "A Disgrace to the Profession" is also the Number One Environmental bestseller - and it's in the Hot 100 in Canada. Thank you so much for your enthusiastic support for this book. Don't forget, if you can't wait for the print edition, it can be yours instantly via Nook or Kindle.
I very much appreciated this review of the book by Michael Harris at Amazon UK:
People need to sit back and take in this most recent book by Mark Steyn... Let's get to the crux of it, Mann is a fraud and so is his work.
This book details what other scientists around the world think of Michael Mann, and what is revealed is a bully who has tried to get scientists who disagree with him fired, kicked off peer review boards. He and his cronies have tried to get the tenure pulled from scientists who have disagreed with him...
Suffice it to say, I would never trust anything this man says regarding climate change or anything else. His science is not real science, it is pathological science, where the conclusion is reached first and then data cherry-picked to support it... It is a shocking example of how science can be corrupted by very few people with far too much power.
Indeed - as Jay Weber and I were saying.
~Later today I'll be checking in with Hugh Hewitt, live at 6pm Eastern/3pm Pacific - and join me tomorrow, Friday, for a pre-Labor Day chat with Glenn Beck, coast to coast at 10am Eastern.
