The week began with Mark sitting in for Rush as EIB's very own anchor baby. On Monday's show the inspirational story of the day was three young Americans and a middle-aged Brit on a French train. On Tuesday's show Mark discussed the consequences of Hillary Clinton's insecure server, in Benghazi and beyond.
~With a week to go to the official launch of "A Disgrace to the Profession", on Monday Mark got into serious book-plug mode. On Tuesday the Prussian reflected that "Mann should really have listened to me when he had the chance".
~Wednesday began with a savage double-murder, of a young reporter and her cameraman, on air, by a "disgruntled colleague". In contrast to Fleet Street, the American press seemed strikingly uninterested in the particulars of the case.
~On Thursday, Mark returned to The Hugh Hewitt Show to advance his theory on Hillary Clinton's eventual withdrawal from the presidential race.
~Mark's Friday Sinatra song was the classic "Come Fly With Me". So for our weekend movie date he paired it with a film that uses it very well: Catch Me If You Can.
Saturday marked the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, with Mark revisiting his before and after columns. The first line of our Sinatra Century song seems pertinent, too: First the tide rushes in...
Since Mark began previewing his latest work, "A Disgrace to the Profession": The World's Scientists - in their Own Words - on Michael E Mann, his Hockey Stick, and their Damage to Science - Volume One, folks around the Internet have been commenting on it: At Canada's Rebel Media, Laura Rosen Cohen called it "probably the longest, funniest, most savvily organized and meticulous "screw you" in the history of Western literature". At Watts Up With That, Andy May hailed it as "an outstanding and important book". "Highly recommended," agreed Duane Hershberger.
