Just ahead of Wednesday's live appearance at Indigo Books in Toronto, I checked in with my old National Post comrade Don Martin at CTV's "Power Play". We discussed Canadian troops firing back at ISIS, and the broader issue of the Islamic State - oh, and Justin Trudeau, too. You can see the interview here.
Later I swung by Michael Coren's studio for more discussion of Islam and the west. Click below to watch:
~Speaking of old National Post comrades, Father Raymond de Souza has a column responding to my recent observations on freedom of expression:
Free speech is properly understood as part of a broader set of liberties rooted in the nature of the human person. That's why Steyn argues for the full heritage of Western liberty, going back to Magna Carta, the 800th anniversary of which we mark this year. The Magna Carta begins with religious liberty, because it was precisely that Christian heritage of reflection on the origin and destiny, creation and vocation of the human person which gave rise to the recognition of man's dignity as the secure foundation for human rights.

~I wrote yesterday about the death of Rush Limbaugh's longtime chief of staff, Kit "H R" Carson, and I've been very touched by the emails I've received from Rush listeners. Rush himself returned to the subject today, and anyone who heard his voice will have some sense of how profound his loss is.
~I'll be starting Wednesday with a visit to John Oakley, live at 7.30am Eastern on Toronto's AM640, and at 9am Eastern I'll be joining Liza, Rosey, Kris and Antony on Global's Morning News. My live appearance at Indigo Bay & Bloor starts at 7pm. More details here.
