It's a Wednesday Night Special edition of the Hinderaker Ward Experience (HWX). John Hinderaker of Power Line and Brian Ward of Fraters Libertas reconvene to review the critical issues of our time.
They're joined by Mark Steyn for an extended discussion of what he's been up to of late, in particular getting sued by global warming theorists for the crime of exercising his right to free speech. As John Hinderaker says:
Mark is embroiled in litigation with the detestable Michael Mann, inventor of the infamous hockey stick. We had a remarkably candid conversation about what is going on in that politically-motivated and mysteriously-funded lawsuit, as well as the broader phenomenon of liberals trying to shut conservatives up, via everything from criminal prosecution (Dinesh D'Souza) to IRS harassment (The Friends of Abe and many others) to product boycotts (the Koch brothers) to bullying by elected officials (Andrew Cuomo). While this kind of thing has been seen in foreign countries at times when they were trending toward totalitarianism, it is unprecedented in America. The discussion was lively and, as is generally the case with Mark, funny even when the topic is deadly serious. I think you will enjoy the interview immensely.
