Welcome to Part Twenty of Mystery in White, Jefferson Farjeon's "Christmas crime story" of 1937 and the the latest entry to our series Tales for Our Time.
In tonight's episode, our refugees from the snowbound train find they have a Christmas Day intruder:
At the kitchen door, David suddenly stiffened.
"Hear anything?" gulped Mr. Hopkins.
"Yes, this time," nodded David.
Mr. Maltby leapt to his side and pushed the door half-open. From the back passage came a sound of shuffling feet.
