Dear Mark,
Can you discuss the desire from some in the "Conservative" circle that believe that DeSantis should be the one and not Trump. The people who want DeSantis sound like the people who were orgasmic over the DURHAM REPORT. Do these people realize that if Trump was treated like DeSantis was in Florida, that he'd be our president right now or don't they care?

Words do not express my disappointment with Ron DeSantis. We elected him for a second term as governor with the understanding that he would serve until 2026, not start running for POTUS less than halfway through his second term. Disappointed enough to refuse to vote for him, although I already have done so twice.

Hello Mark,
Trump is following the Democrat script by attacking DeSantis on entitlements. Would expect better from Trump. The sad facts are that outlays for Social Security and Medicare exceed taxes received from these programs by over $1 trillion, a large contributor to deficit spending. Government accounting allows politicians from both sides to claim these programs are solvent due to so-called "trust funds". However, excess taxes paid for entitlements in the past have been spent! The only way the trust funds pay back into entitlement programs is by borrowing or printing money. How did we go bankrupt? First gradually, then suddenly.

Great title Mark. Ironically, I found The Partridge Family on streaming last night and in the discussion of Shirly Jones and here sons David and Shaun, I couldn't remember Shaun's hit song. On the beer conversation, in my opinion, the greatest American "Common" Beer was brewed by Shirley's Grandad in Smithton Pennsylvania, my Grandma's hometown, and it was my Grandad's favorite beer before mine.
On the subject of Ron and Don, Ron is being dismissed for the same reasons as Trump was in 2016, but he has the advantage of procuring what many believe to be the most livable state in the union. I think Ron's strategy should be what is counterintuitive to the experts. I hope he learns from Ted Cruz's mistake of trying to match Trump's aggression. Ron needs to stay cool, give Trump the credit he deserves, and charm America. As Mohamed Ali did in the Congo, he needs to let is opponent punch himself out. the folks who know me who think I'm a Trump fanatic don't realize that i was a Cruz guy. Trump out played Cruz on substance and the wisdom of age. I just give Trump the credit he is due. The best gift to the men and women who have lost there lives for our freedom is to remove Biden from office, plain and simple.

Hi Mark,
This morning I read a very well reasoned blog post on how corporations slid down the slippery slope of having to support so-called "good" causes. In the old days, corporations forbade any advocacy by employees on company time, even for innocuous things like the local school bake sale. However, gradually companies started supporting "good" causes, but unfortunately progressives and the radical left were the only ones who were allowed to designate what was "good". The ESG scores put teeth in the rage that could befall any company willing to stand up to pressure. But, after the Bud Light and Target fiascos, I'm sure many corporate heads are regretting the toboggan ride toward virtue and wokeness. Can anyone put this genie back in the bottle?

Mark and fellow Club members. Are we the fools who sold the communists the rope that they will hang us with? For years, conservatives have told ourselves that a rising tide lifts all boats and that by empowering the business community with tax cuts and favorable regulations that the "job creators" would unleash widespread prosperity for everyone. At the very least, businesses just wanted the freedom to conduct their business without interference by the government.
But lately it seems more and more companies are actively supporting the left, from Miller Lite to Bud Lite to now North Face, even butch companies are flying the rainbow flag. It seems like ESG did more in the last year than the Soviets ever did in their decades in power for the left. Did the carried interest deduction that National Review defended so eloquently replace the funding for the left they used to get from the Communists?

Besides the shenanigans that have already been made public regarding the 2020 U.S. presidential election (including the FBI's involvement with social media companies, Mark Zuckerberg's infusion of $400 million to "influence" nonpartisan election officials, voting rules being altered without legislative approval, lax overview of mail in ballots, etc) do you believe that there was a sufficient amount of actual vote fraud to change the election result? If there were a multitude of ballots cast by people other than the person to whom that ballot was intended would that have come to light by now?
I find it hard to fathom that Joe Biden received anywhere near 81 million legitimate votes, but the smoking gun I've expected has yet to be produced. I have always believed that if more than a handful of people are involved in a conspiracy that the truth will come out eventually. Do you expect hard evidence to ever be revealed in this context?

Funny you mention the Somali mores now part of Minneapolis. Have you ever been to Lewiston, Maine? I was recently visiting family in Maine, who were lamenting the Somali presence in Lewiston. You can see the real effects of immigration there where 5,000 Somalis were shipped to a city of only 35,000. Portland has similar numbers. Longfellow would not recognize Maine but woe to anyone who comments about it.

Hi Mark,
If the U.S. government plans to follow France's lead in banning short-haul flights, then let's start with all the flights moving illegal immigrants throughout the U.S. under the cover of night! Westchester County Airport was one of the biggest destinations for such flights as we discovered via undercover video.
I grew up 10 minutes from that airport. Hope you enjoyed your flights to our local airport. Thank you for doing these Q&A sessions even while you are a bit under the weather. We Steyn Clubbers greatly appreciate it! Take care.

As a result of the Dodgers' reversing their decision and now allowing the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to march in their pride show, Bishop Robert Baron has called for a boycott of the Dodgers. "It was said famously about a century ago the last acceptable prejudice in America is anti-Catholicism. But we shouldn't tolerate it."

"There's a long tradition in this country of anti-Catholicism," Barron said. "It was said famously about a century ago the last acceptable prejudice in America is anti-Catholicism. But we shouldn't tolerate it."
This anti-Catholicism stems from an assortment of Catholic beliefs, one of which aligns very well with a belief Alexandra eloquently articulated on your Wednesday show. That is, this whole pride nonsense has morphed into aspiring children to have a serious dysphoric relationship with their own biology, which happens to be a disorder. that needs to be treated with something other than mululating their sex organs.
Go Alexandra, go!

Good day Mark! And it's great to see you regaining your mojo, as Austin Powers would put it.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the Republican Party should agree to raising the debt ceiling, with all the entitlements and boondoggles the Democrats have asked for! But they should just require that all the extra spending be labelled:
"Voter bribe money for Democrat individuals and companies"
This would have the following advantages:
1. It would make it perfectly clear to everyone that what's going on is the process described by Alexander Fraser Tytler -
"[Democracy] can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury"
2. It would make it clear that the US debt will never be repaid
3. The Democrats may well decide to accept it since they will be getting the two main things they want, so it's the lesser of 3 evils
4. It could begin a process of re-education of the American electorate.
Your thoughts please?

The Koch bros aren't actual Conservatives (in the capital letter sense.) The brothers are Libertarians (capital letter L), globalists, and part of that overload-wannabe sect. The brothers, in my estimation, are disrupters who like to toss grenades and then sit back in their mansions to see what happens in the chaos. And I suspect, they're likely delighted with the globalist schemes to strip us of our freedoms of travel, speech, and religion.

Hi Mark,
France bans domestic short-haul flights to cut carbon emissions. 'Move back, there. You have your new 15 minute mobility hubs'.
Another portcullis coming down, around the shrinking world of ordinary people, and the expanding one of the elite. Just how many elite will soon inherit and own the world is vague? Apparently, it is only going to be the really, really elite, with a very small single top elite group running the great reset world government. It makes me think that when many of the existing elites realize they aren't going to be included in the exclusive top tier and will have to settle for admin, tech, entertainment, or security layer, it could become like the dying day and hours of the Americans, their lovers and service civilians, getting out of Saigon in Vietnam. Climbing, falling off ladders as the helicopters took off in the city. Today the really elite, elite, own their own Lear Jets, the next tier down rent them or catch a lift.
But there will be many who will not even get to enjoy our restricted 15 minute hubs. The relentless short and long spreading spiked protein damage and varying mRNA doses of changing parts of our DNA, & other strange contents in the doses & boosters of Covid Vaccines, will shrink the need for transport or anything by projected billions eventually. And increasing sterility being experienced & detected among ordinary people will do the rest. And for people in Canada, and one man featured on Twitter this week, Canada's very low state benefits, set too low to support ill, disabled, poor, and elderly people, that state doctors visit to discuss their resulting poor quality of life, is providing a service of euthanasia, when agreement is reached for the doctor to make arrangements to come and kill them. A man, this week, who suffers from severe back pain, has got to leave his one room apartment and can't find accommodation anywhere that he can afford to live. A state doctor has already been out to visit him and start him on the state euthanasia programme, and although he does not want to die, he does not want to be in great pain and homeless on the street. He thinks he has about one month left of life before the state doctor comes to kill him.
I know this is happening but it is almost unbelievable!
Kind regards, Sandra
