Andrew and fellow Club members, what are your thoughts on the recent Twitter file disclosures that confirm that social media companies have, in fact, been suppressing information and news, or at least spinning it in the direction favorable to the US government? Tik Tok has been in the news as it's being accused of working with Chinese intelligence services to spy on Americans? As a Canadian, could you or any non-American ask if American social media companies are doing the same to you? It seems social media built a better surveillance state and propaganda machine than the Soviets ever dreamed of.

Happy New Year to all. Get well soon, Mark. This planet needs a whole lot more of what you do. What that is is to celebrate culture. All cultures as well as ours. Those of us who are on the cusp of genocidal persecution while so many of us assist those who would destroy us. Andrew, how do you navigate the cultural genocide of the West? Are you optimistic? Are you vigilant? Should we dismiss the passing phase of the sleep walking zombies called the Woke? I hate that word. We need our own word for them. One that is grammatically sound. Any suggestions?

What percentage would you put on the chances of covid restrictions coming in across the western world in 2023? There is clearly a media campaign in the UK, at least, to do something about arrivals from China. Once that happens, I suspect it'll be masks next. Then why work from home orders again or another round of must have jabs? I hate to be the prophet of doom, but it feels ominous...

Hi Andrew, do you think the "masking forever" folks will win? I go back and forth with it. On one hand I think there will be a subset of the population that does do this, but most people I saw couldn't wait to drop the masks once the mandates were gone.

Just in: UK will join US in putting on testing requirement for flights coming in from China. This is seeming eerily familiar three years since this all began.

Andrew,
A couple of questions on Canadian content!
Sergeant Preston of the Yukon was a terrific program from the mid-1950s. Given that the Sergent was the beau idéal of the Mounties (I was going to say the embodiment of the perfect Mountie but felt throwing in a little French lingo would help with Canadian content of my comment) but was himself an American and that the program was filmed in Colorado. Also, Yukon King was a five-year-old Alaskan Malamute from Michigan. Rex was likewise American and was personally owned by the actor Richard Simmons.
How much Canadian content was there in the program?
Next question:
How much Canadian content was there in the Red Green Show?
Well Andrew, it looks like this comment is closed!

Dear Brigadier Lawton -- you have so many other titles here, but not one is a military title -- anyway, dear Brigadier, why are some news stories dead on arrival or dead soon after? The assassination of Shinzo Abe got almost no play here, Salman Rushdie's near-fatal attack was in the news for a nanosecond. Why aren't those stories worth further review or follow-up stories on those men's attackers? Meanwhile there is seemingly endless news on broken marriages, salacious affairs, and the like. Are there any news stories that pop to mind that have gotten little play that you wish you'd seen more of this year? Oh, and Happy New Year.

Hi Andrew,
Given the recent announcement that Zelensky will team up with Blackrock CEO Larry Fink next month at Davos to so-called 'reconstruct' Ukraine, isn't it time that people acknowledged what, and who, is actually driving the war there? Countries 'lend' money to Ukraine with the help of financial brokers (Blackrock) who get it back via the many industries they own, as well as in the form of loan repayments and servicing. A merry go round of money that has nothing to do with 'freedom and democracy' in Ukraine, or anywhere else. Maybe that's what Zelensky and company want, but I don't see how cheering on the victory of Larry Fink, rather than Vladimir Putin, does anything for ordinary people in the West, especially conservatives. What say you?

Hi Andrew, I saw a few articles suggesting that a majority of Canadians want Trudeau to resign. Didn't a majority of them elect him a second time? I don't understand. Are people finally frustrated enough with him? Will he go for "a walk in the snow" when he gets back from Jamaica?

Hi Andrew, did you see that Dr. Tam was grinching out over Christmas, still pushing vaccines on kids and adults, and pushing masking still as well? A question about modern attitudes- why are we now turning to worry ever more about falling populations? I was raised in the 60's-70's Club of Rome era when the worry was booming overpopulation. Surely a gentle decline in global population is just what we need to get a handle on the problems of providing for the hungry masses. This is a finite planet, after all.
