I like second-hand and vintage as much as the next guy. But the allure of vintage was always about bygone quality of manufacturing. This is different. This is—I don't know what to call it?—"Chinese-sweatshop-over flow chic" comes to mind.
It wasn't always this way. I'm old enough to remember Jane Fonda's superb shag, boot-cut jeans and flowy batik tunic when she was busy sticking up for the Khmer Rouge. Murderous thugs though they were, 60s era Black Panthers always looked terrific in their turtle necks and berets.
What's going on here? Since the very fate of Gaia rests on their sagging, pimply shoulders, should I not feel a little concerned?

It would be a cracking discussion and open many minds to the anti-human reality of carbon-zero and all the rest of it. It might even affect Mr de Koning's own thinking (and glueing)!
