Good afternoon, Mark! Had the Starship Enterprise, after being catapulted through one of those enigmatic, time-altering energy/plasma-field-entity thingies, wound up back in time, back in the American conservative blogosphere of late April 2022, Kirk and Spock would need be forgiven for their "logical" analysis that Easter's Savior is now a being called "Elon Musk." Now, I have never "twitted" - I have never Facebooked - I have never "linked-in" to anything that couldn't put an immediate smile on my face. Yet, these sites seem absolutely necessary, and are apparently unalterably addictive, to a tremendous number of people......including conservatives. I'm in my late 60's, at an age in which the mind operates in an increasingly atavistic manner, but I truly do not understand the schizophrenic attitudes of those on "our side" to these social media sites. Time and again, and without exaggeration, I say, I've listened to multiple radio/blog hosts who have spent entire segments of their programs blasting the despicable, fascistic, censorship of Twitter, Facebook, etc. Yet, almost comically, at the end of the segment, the seemingly-outraged host will remind listeners: "....and don't forget to follow me on Facebook and Twitter, etc., etc., etc....." (#%@&!!!!) Why can't we just simply walk away from the platforms that aren't friendly to us and go to those that are? I know very little about Musk, other than he seems to have made his fortune through the largess of certain government grants. (I manage to see one Telsa about every three months.) To me this Musk/Twitter soap opera is much ado about very little that will make a real difference. Am I in error? What am I missing in all of this?

Dear Mark,
This follows on your reaction to my question about Zemmour and the French elections 2 weeks ago. I wanted to say, the thought that you needed to be told what to think never crossed my mind. I was worried over your invitee's shaping of the public's perceptions. GB News viewers who aren't Steyn converts likely know nothing about your own views and would assume you agree with her.
I try to persuade my Leftie husband to watch your show in hopes that wit and intelligence will win him over, and his like would readily jump on her bandwagon that "Le Pen is an extremist, but Zemmour was even worse, so good riddance".
You're right in that my reaction to the 1st round was not entirely rational. Having watched more French TV in the last 3 months than ever before in my life, I ended up loathing them. I had assumed that, being French, their media were saner than the Anglosphere, but no.
Hearing on your GBN slot the next day yet another French MSM journalist with the same narrative, I was incensed. My reproach to you was not meant to go beyond that one choice. Granted, there might not be a wild range of pundits in France. I couldn't have known that Z had rejected your invitation; he seemed so keen to debate anyone that the thought didn't occur to me.
I have no intention of aggravating your battles with the Left. I had been wondering how long before Ofcom persecutes you, and whether you need police protection and if so, how awful that must be. I was 15 in Romania when the Ceausescu regime fell. We had to watch our backs and censor ourselves for fear of Securitate. Social trust was so damaged that Romania will never be a normal country again. I can't fathom how Westerners neither understand nor care about their accelerating loss of freedom.
I blame this on MSM, and find it puzzling that, except for Rupert Murdoch and now Big Tech, no one discusses the media's owners. Why are the Barclay brothers not being made controversial? Why do we know so little about them and their networks?
Your interview with John MacGuirk on murders in Ireland found a pattern of media lies. This cannot go on without the tacit or express approval of the owners who employ the editors who hire the journalists. They must be networking across borders to achieve such consensus on existential issues like replacement immigration. How else could MSM in the USA, Britain, France, Ireland all be goosestepping in unison? Please be assured of my admiration for your strength of mind, wit and urbanity.

Hi Mark,
I'm a fan for many years, but a new-ish Club member, and a virgin question-poster. No politics this time.
I particularly enjoy the Song Of The Week, and also The Hundred Years Ago Show, and I find myself oddly captivated by the vocalist in the period songs on that latter program, the fellow that sings "Wait 'Til You Get Them Up In The Air, Boys" and "Love Her By Radio" and a handful of others.
Who was this man? Was he a big star in his time? Was he, possibly, the first singing star of the radio era? Just curious for whatever light you can shed on him. The older I get, the more interesting the past becomes, and I have a great appreciation for your presentations.

Hey Mark,
I see that Biden has pledged another 30 billion dollars to Ukraine, as well as a plan to "accomodate the kleptocrats". Haven't him and his son already done a lot of that? Meanwhile, Liz Truss in the UK says that the Russo-American Proxy War in the Ukraine could last 10 years. Surely, achieving 'regime change' in Moscow won't take that long? Your thoughts please :)

Bush an apology for Iraqi WMD's since his Covid Advisors WMD'd his Administration, same as the Intelligence Community sandbagged Bush?
Could Trump heal the GOP with such an olive branch?
I think the Leftist Media and the never Trump pinkos have a choice: A Trump candidacy with a Fauci Albatross around his neck or an unbeatable DeSantis candidacy.
One last somber inquiry, if Rush was not diagnosed with Stage Four Lung Cancer in early 2020, would he had been able to steer Trump away from the lockdowns? I always thought he would have.

Hi Mark, I'm really enjoying seeing you on GB News. I had become very bitter about the TV news options available to us in the UK and had trained myself to stop watching Sky/BBC/ITV to preserve my geniality in the living room. Now that GB News is here, I enjoy watching the news again and even if I frequently disagree with the presenters or find the content a too focused on Westminster's naval, I still find the range of topics eligible for debate refreshing.
One example of refreshing debate was when you invited the Welsh statistician to debate the effectiveness of booster jabs. I actually thought that you had over-played your objections to booster jabs when I saw the data. My reading of it was that the booster jabs appeared to be effective in reducing deaths in over 60's and over 60's are the only age demographic that counts. The facts that the over-60's represent the majority of deaths and that there is higher booster jab take-up amongst them skewed the statistics to make it seem the triple vaccinated were more at risk, which was precisely the misleading summary that the government authorities wanted to prevent by removing them. There are plenty of other valid complaints about the official narrative - posting stats based deaths and hospitalisations within 28 or 60 days of Covid seems designed to scaremonger; forcing under 60s to get boosters; the implications of boosting every 3 months and the unknown impacts that will have and the apparent activism of social and state media in shutting down debate are all strong points. But it's important not to get drawn into opposing every aspect of the state narrative, as it isn't all rubbish.

Hi, Mark... late question! Governor DeSantis has an impressive record on introducing laws to protect individual rights. Should this be the model for the right to aspire to, in terms of using state power to restore basic liberties?
There are freedoms so basic that - before Covid - we didn't know they needed defending, such as "the right to visit loved ones in hospitals and long-term care facilities". (The presence of family members is no less "essential" than the work of staff, and the same infection control measures should apply to both.)
If they ever manage to get elected, do real conservatives need to use Big Government to turn things around? Or is it all too late now with corporatism and the cultural capture of institutions; election interference and emergency acts; deathbed demography and "disinformation" etc etc. The list goes on.
