Right now, there are races all across the country where multiple people have already declared their candidacy for November 2022. In my House district of NH-1, I believe there are six GOP challengers already lined up to face the incumbent Democrat. My question: how are we ever going to move away from this, from politics as a profession, the constant media attention and fundraising machine? There may be excellent candidates out there, but if they do not have any money and only begin campaigning a month before the primary, aren't they dead on arrival?
