In case you missed it, here's how the last seven days looked to Mark:
~Mark set out to kick off the week with a Song of the Week about Kenosha, but after not finding one chose to instead spotlight a song by a man shaped by Kenosha, Lionel Hampton's Midnight Sun.
~Mark's Monday Notebook covered the deplinthing of a statue of Canada's first prime minister, John A Macdonald, from its (former) perch in Montreal, plus a check-in on Campaign 2020.
~The Mark Steyn Show returned Tuesday with a wide-ranging episode including Joe Biden at his rarest, Boris Johnson at his wettest, cocktail hour at the Politburo, a screen star self-silenced, the joys of looting (everything but the author's royalties), affordable castles, no corporal punishment for corporals, and Daddy Kinda Cool.
~SteynOnline's in-house Jewish mother Laura Rosen Cohen delivered up a freshly baked batch of links Wednesday, telling of unabated power grabs from law makers, persistent lockdown in spite of empty hospital beds, and another professor sent to the re-education gulag, among other stories.
~Mark returned to Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News Wednesday night, lamenting the loss of mid-February's Joe Biden. You can watch that segment here.
~Mark served up a Labor/Labour Day weekend edition of The Mark Steyn Show Friday, spanning Mark's farewell to the Summer of Stupid, an Oz Wanker Copperpalooza, Joe Biden's lights out, the near total obliteration of a Canadian icon, lessons from the Rushdie fatwa, and a philosophical poem and sweat-stained song on labor.
~In a Saturday guest column, singer-songwriter Tal Bachman implored Christians and churches to get back to teaching and embracing actual Christianity.
~Mark at the Movies returned on Saturday night, whereupon Mark expatiated on Spike Lee's urban summer flick Summer of Sam, set against the backdrop of the Son of Sam's killing spree.
The Mark Steyn Show is made possible with the support of members of The Mark Steyn Club. The Mark Steyn Club is not to everyone's taste, but we do have members in every corner of the world from London, Kiribati to London, Ontario to London, England, and, if you have a chum who's a fan of classic poems on video or classic fiction in audio, we also offer a special gift membership.
A new week at SteynOnline begins tonight with our Song of the Week.
