It's always fun to start the day with Toronto's peerless morning man John Oakley. Today we discussed the big climate beano in Paris and Barack Obama, David Suzuki and Justin Trudeau's wish to return us to the pristine purity of an "indigenous" society. Click below to listen:
I must say it's awfully cute the way AM640 managed to embed the cover of my cat album into the audio file. I wouldn't have the first clue how to do that. But that's me and Marvin consoling each other at about 3am in one of the local nightclubs that proliferate in this corner of rural New Hampshire.
As for the album, Feline Groovy was officially released on Monday and I'm chuffed to see Marvin and I are holding our own against Mel Tormé and Harry Connick Jr. It's available from Amazon via CD or digital download - and also from iTunes and CD Baby. So far the most popular individual track seems to be "She Only Talks That Way To The Cat", but I'm pleased that John played a bit of the title track because the back-up kitties are absolutely excellent on that.
This five-star review is much appreciated:
Steyn + Cats + Jazzy Instrumentation = Delight!
It's a great Christmas gift for the cat lover in your family - and a good way to wind up any felinephobes, too.
